Mary Anne Dwyer, President

As one of the original founders of HCE, Mary Anne has steered the company to the successful position it enjoys today. When North American Philips decided to leave the nurse call business in 1986, she had a vision for what this company could become. With that vision, she has been instrumental in transitioning the company from an old fashioned manufacturer into a high tech systems integrator. Mary Anne is a hands-on leader who researches industry trends and pushes all of the employees and distributors to new heights.

Her expertise from the North American Philips days was customer service and she has been a champion for top-notch customer care all along. Her concept of customer service (both sales and technical) is to create a relationship with the customer and to always listen to the customer. She continues to demand quality products, unparalleled customer care, and integrity from the distributors who interact with the end users.

Mary Anne is an avid swimmer who enjoys time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoys golf, reading, and walking through the streets of her hometown. She is a member of the board of trustees for the Harborside Inn, in Edgartown, MA.

Suzanne Rahall, VP Sales & Marketing

Suzanne has been with HCE since its inception in 1986. She began as an assistant to the President and Vice President, learning the customer service end of the business. As the business grew, she learned the purchasing and production operations and spent many hours on the production floor learning how every item sold by HCE is manufactured, inspected in QA, and tested. She has worked extensively with customers and the engineering team to fine-tune the Cumula line, add new features and products, enhance existing products, and overhaul the QA process.

As the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the past six years, Suzanne has been the liaison between the distributor network, the company, and the end-user. She has successfully turned the exclusive distributor network into a well oiled machine whose members are all as proud to represent HCE and its products as we are to have them as distributors.

For the past 22 years, Suzanne has been a statistician at the Boston College home football, men's basketball, and women's basketball games. In her spare time, she enjoys playing golf, watching sports, and playing with her big, black Labrador Retriever. She volunteers for the LAB-MED program and is very active in cancer support activities.

Richard Bohne, Engineering Manager

Richard joined HCE shortly after its founding. Richard had been a member of North Amercain Philips in the engineering department and brought with him extensive experience and insight into the nurse call system world. Having designed the popular and successful Mark V system, Richard was ready to take on the challenge of developing the new family of nurse call, called Cumula. As he oversaw all of the hardware design, he worked closely with software engineers to develop what is now one of the most reliable products on the market.

He continues to improve and enhance the Cumula product line, keeping in close step with the industry's evolution. Richard is instrumental in the development and on-going support of the highly touted Millenium product. He offers outstanding technical support on a daily basis to all of HCE's customers.

For fun, Richard and his wife enjoy a round of golf together. Other hobbies include: vegetable gardening, woodworking in his home shop, and reading.
